"In compliance with your request & beg say that it was highly injudicions to send, these Men on board the 'A jax"
for so long a Voyage under the
assumption that they were
sufficently
well to be taken home as Distressed_
Teamen under the provisions of the act
when in fact they
were all sick Men and two expecially who had suffered_ severely from chronic diarrhoea were as near death as possible and one of there Men did actually die on the passage.
